Gorrissen Federspiel announces new Managing Partner
Martin André Dittmer has been elected new Managing Partner at Gorrissen Federspiel with effect from 1 July 2018.
Martin André Dittmer is 48 years of age and has been a partner at Gorrissen Federspiel since 2007.
Having successfully contributed to the growth of our strong and high-profile EU and Competition practice group, Martin is the obvious successor to take on this important management position in Gorrissen Federspiel.
”Martin André Dittmer is in every respect a highly professional and ambitious individual. What is more, he has the integrity, clout and personality necessary to manage our firm that continues to grow and develop in step with the increased demand for specialised advisory services”, says Peter Appel, Chairman at Gorrissen Federspiel.
Martin André Dittmer succeeds Tomas Haagen as Managing Partner; Tomas Haagen has been our Managing Partner for the past three years.
Tomas Haagen leaves life as a law firm partner with effect from 1 October 2018 to take on the position of Senior Vice President and General Counsel at Novo Nordisk, where he, in addition to Legal Affairs, also will be in charge of Corporate Patents, and where he will head a team of more than 280 employees.
”I know that it has been a difficult decision for Tomas to leave Gorrissen Federspiel, but that is the way of it when it is not a question of opting out of the existing position but opting in to take up a new one”, says Peter Appel.
”Tomas has been offered an absolutely unique opportunity to join one of Denmark’s probably most well-known companies at management level. From our viewpoint, we are of course sad to lose a brilliant lawyer and a high-profile partner. Tomas is leaving a strong firm that continues to grow, and that now has more than 450 employees. We are pleased that we will be continuing our cooperation with Tomas, and that Tomas has been given this opportunity – also outside of our firm – to carry on his career at the highest level”.
